Having traveled extensively throughout Italy, I have to say that Lupa is one of the most authentic Italian restaurants I've been to in the US. The spicy mussels and clams, the tortelloni and the rack of lamb are just a few of my favorites. And for dessert, you cannot beat the White Chocolate Lemon Tart.

The food has always been spectacular and fresh. The chef makes all the pasta and bread from scratch right there. They have great salads and appetizers as well as meat and seafood dishes. And the best tiramisu around. The service is friendly and fast. It is casual but nice enough for a business dinner or a date. I like that it is not too noisy.
My two favorites are the ravioli di zucca - stuffed with butternut squash in brown butter sage - freshly made and as good as anywhere in Italy. My other fav is the grilled radicchio with goat cheese with balsamic drizzled on it.

Italian comfort food at best. Great for groups.
Pastas, fish, meat course all reasonably priced with hearty generous portion. Service is always professional and friendly.
It is not touristy! They are all for fresh local produce :)
