Even though the restaurant was half empty in Miami on a Friday night (should have been the first clue). The server did not know how to present and serve a bottle ($150) of wine. She even decanted the 2nd bottle without any presentation whatsoever. The "medium rare" steak I ordered arrived "black and blue." Raw and ice cold on the inside. They took it back and overcooked the same steak to a nice "well done" temperature. I finished off with an 18 yr old scotch served "neat". Before I took my first sip, the busboy cleared the scotch away with the dirty dishes. This is a management problem. Staff needs to be properly trained. If you can't get wine and steak right at a supposedly "premium" steakhouse, you're dead in the water. I am willing to bet Macabi Steakhouse will not be in business in a year. Avoide Macabi Steakhouse like the plague!
