I took my family (about 12 people) to Mario's for a holiday treat. We ordered three cheese plates for the table. They brought us three plates of cheese with no bread and no crackers. I asked the waiter several times (kindly-with no attitude) for bread or cracker- i finally got upset and asked if we were to eat the cheese with our fingers- Staff was obviously annoyed with my request. Dont waste your money or time- If you want bad service, wanna-be food, and a wait staff with bad attitudes - go to L.A. at least its expected there

Unbelievable food, ambiance and service. Ask for the chef to pair your wines with your food-- you will not be sorry! I have eaten better at Mario's than I have anywhere in Orange County or LA.
The ingredients on the menu were quite extensive. We are from Philadelphia and Brick Oven Pizzas are the closest to those cooked in the famous Philadelphia Italian ovens. They are so authentic they come with a cornmeal crust! The salads are filled wi

Its a shame that this restaurant exist because there is a lack of good places to eat in the city of Riverside. If this place was located in San Diego or Los Angeles and attempting to pass itself as a upper end resturant as it does it would be out of business. The service is poor, being with the hostness that lack any basic training. She is more concern in rushing back to her station to talk to the waiters. We arrived early with reservations and were forced to wait pass our reservation time even though the place was empty. Since it was early and empty we requested a better table than offered and was refused without being given a option or an excuse. The food was average, the prices were extremely high. I hope someday, Riverside will rate some restaurants it deserves. The idea that we are held like hostages in places like Marios making driving out of town our only choice.
Mario's is where the "suits" go for lunch, while dinner is for lovers and those ready to impress. The food is excellent here. I recommend the "Wild Mushroom Ravioli". I normally don't care for swordfish which is rather tough other places, but is amazing here. Ask them to make you a "Pear & Gorgonzola Pizza", which isn't always on the menu...mmmmm!
