Our experience with Indian cuisine suggests that Indian food is characterized by the rich spectrum of spices in which it is cooked, giving the food its inimitable flavor and aroma. Spices have always been considered to be India's prime commodity and the usage of spices in India is recorded in Sanskrit texts dating back to over 3000 years. We are taking a step further in pairing the Traditional Indian culinary techniques with western ingredients to adapt it to Western styles of plating. We have termed our this journey into the culinary world as Indian Fusion Cuisine.

Masala is a beautiful location for both personal and business events. Located in the heart of downtown Danville, our elegant restaurant welcomes you with hardwood floors, white cloth napkins and table cloths and large beveled mirrors. We offer patio seating in addition to our large dining room, presenting some breathtaking views of Mt.Diablo. The warm air and fairy lights that light the trellis long before it turns dark reminds you how charming summer nights can be in the Bay Area.

From a cocktail reception (featuring some extraordinary selection of wines that pair well with our cuisine) to multi course dinner, Masala provides guests with Chef Rajesh Sharma's delectable cuisine, warm hospitality to help make each event a memorable one.

Take a culinary journey through India and learn a myriad of Indian cooking techniques, Including curries, chutneys, raita, Naan, Tandoori methods and much more. Cooking Class & Food Tasting is held every Monday evenings from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at our restaurant facilities in Danville. The cost is $65.
