I was quite disappointed in the entire experience. The food in general was uninspired. You could get better at Marie Callendars. I assumed with Duane's on premises that the standard would flow over, that is not the case. The appetizers came with our salads and then we waited an hour for our entrees. The steaks were so so those who ordered the fish were disappointed. The fish was cold and not tasty. The service was poor. They didn't seem to care about drinks or anything about us until the bill came when we were told that the gratuity was included, but we could add to it if we liked (we didn't). Everyone at the table is in the restaurant business with two owners present and we were very disappointed in the entire experience. If you want to eat at the Mission Inn, I recommend Duanes.

This place is pretty inside but outside is not too comfortable on a sunny day because you will roast. I have been there four times and each time. I have had kids running between the back of our chairs and the rail; they have to squish not allowing me to be very comfortable. I feel as if I am being hurried to get out, twice I have had the bill brought to us with out us even asking for it. We all made the best of it because it isn’t the children’s fault. I am not saying that I wouldn't go back. I just won't go as often.
Lobster bisque, Porterhouse, Chop salad, bannnana's foster...outstanding! Most flavorful steak i have ever had! Martinis were perfectly done. I have stayed at the Mission Inn for almost 20 years and never ate at Duane's...i have been missing out.
To my surprise, the food was awful! I have been a regular customer for years. I understand ownership has changed. If your looking for a good meal don't go. If anyone has information on previous owner of Gram's Mission BBQ please post. Looking, Lookin

The outdoor patio here is one of my favorite places to dine for lunch and especially dinner. They've changed their menu since they've the hotel has opened a new mexican restaurant and I'll tell you, the dark salsa in their chip and salsa appetizer is amazing!

This is a place to eat for visiting old friends or that special someone in an outdooors setting. The setting is peaceful, yet a touch of nature since with old Spanish decorations. The free tortilla chips are excellent with an assortment of salsas. The fish dish I had was superb, and the portion was just right. The service was excellent, and the price was quite affordable than I had expected for it's atmosphere and service. However, the valet parking there is $8, but you can find free or metered parking near by.
