This is a neighborhood "Old Wythe" restaurant that has been at this location on Kecoughtan Road, Hampton, Virginia for ages. When I was in the seventh grade at Wythe Junior High, I was a member of the Junior Exchange Club and the Exchange Club of Hampton would take us to the Oasis for supper. The menu is excellent and is varied plus there are ample waitresses and staff to serve you. The Oasis is a meeting place for the Wythe neighborhood and there are regulars at both breakfast and dinner. It is like Cheers where everyone knows your name. The only negative is they are only open to 8 p.m. on Fridays, the rest of the week they close at 2 p.m. Robert J. McKenzie Hampton, Virginia Wythe Native

My wife and I stopped in for dinner and we were very impressed. The portions size are huge...we both have healthy appetites and could've shared one dinner. The alfredo sauce is homemade and may very well be the "Best" alfredo sauce I have ever had

The absolute best authentic NY philly steak sub - we added mushrooms and hot peppers - toasted fresh bread with all the works... they use sirloin! and the garlic flavored the entire meal! Plenty of cold cuts on the italian sub! I can't wait to try
