The Oggi's franchise was originated by two brothers, George and John Hadjis. In August of 1991, after more than 20 combined years in the tech industry, they opened their first restaurant in Del Mar, California and began serving up their own pizzeria experience. Originally as a franchise of an already favorite local pizza chain they later evolved into the Oggi's you know and love today!

In fact, "oggi" stands for "today" in Italian. It symbolizes freshness as well as "the here and now". To us here at Oggi's, it is synonymous with high quality pizza, pastas, salads, beer and sports. Oggi's pizza dough is made fresh daily at each and every location, even at the sporting stadiums and arenas where our delicious Oggi's fare is available. Our special sauces, dressings, burgers, and much more are also made fresh daily from scratch, so you are sure to get a great tasting meal every time no matter where you may find us.

Throughout the years, the Oggi's personality has evolved from a mom and pop pizzeria style restaurant, to a locals' favorite sports themed pub, complete with full bar and a full array of televisions and monitors, large and small. Oggi's is a terrific choice to watch your favorite teams and sporting events while enjoying great food and fun with family, friends, and colleagues. Oggi's success was compounded with the addition of convenient delivery services and was topped off with it's introduction into the brewing industry.

In 1995, micro brewed beers exploded onto the scene and it was unanimously agreed that a micro-brewery would be the perfect complement to the restaurant's already popular theme. It was a natural fit. The addition of a micro-brewery to it's delicious pizza and fun filled sports atmosphere gave Oggi's the perfect blend of fun, flavor, and festivity.
