Upon arrival, service was adequate from Joe, but menu items were slow to arrive and not in accordance with the menu. After sending the entree back - veal with spinach (of which there was NONE) and Proscuitto (of which there was little), the sauce was full of mushrooms, to which I am allergic. The item came back MERELY SCRAPPED OFF! I found mushrooms, got violently ill and had to leave. And they still charged us for dinner. Simply TRAGIC. What a waste of a restaurant. May you NEVER dine there.

We just ate at this restaurant tonight. I live only 2 blocks from this retaurant and have been walking by for years meaning to eat here. Finally my husband suggested it and we went. We were seated within just a few minutes by the waiter who also played double duty as host(seating people). We were seated and the busser gave us bread, and water within just a few minutes. We ordered wine and it came within just a few minutes. We ordered our dinner and then waited 1 1/2 hours to get our food. We asked twice how long it would be and our waiter explained that the owner/chef makes each dish from fresh ingredients and works alone, he said "it is worth the wait". So we waited. We were starving and waited very patiently as people who had all been there longer than us asked the waiter how long it would be and then received their food much after. I was starving when we got there and close to passing out by the time we got our food. I dont recommend this food if you are really hungry when you go or haven't eaten all day, or if you are in a hurry. We were at the restaurant from start to finish over 2 hrs:(

I went here 1-2 times weekly to buy sandwiches when I lived 2 blocks away. The owner (who is there pretty much everyday) is very nice. The service is great. They added some tables to eat at shortly after i started going here but I mostly took my meal ...

Good food, but a little to pricey. I had the lobster ravioli (very tasty) and my wife had the halibut (a little dry but still good). Nice atmosphere, but the service is a little slow. Recommended if you're not on a budget. Note: this is a great date restaurant, cuz you can eat and then take a romantic stroll down main street, check out the shops and then walk down the Seal Beach pier.
