Portico has the best Italian food in Rochester hands down. DR is kind of small but with the tables so close together it ads to the atmosphere. Everything is terrific here because it is run by actual people who care about quality and authentic preparation. Because the prices are so reasonable plan on over ordering, especially the full perfect antipasto plate. Try the veal, ravioli, manicotti. On a recent visit there was a big crowd so be patient and have a drink out front while your waiting - there is separate bar in front where everyone will make you feel right at home. Portico is a hidden Rochester gem which is why it has been open for so many decades. Parking is easy too.
