My wife and I work in the area an decided to visit this place on our lunch hour. We were seated right away but had to call the server over to take our order. We then waited for another 30 minutes and still no food. We ended up spending 45 minutes in this restaurant before we walked out with no time ...
Went to Antars around 7:00 on a Monday night. Place was mostly empty, as was everything else on Mill Avenue at that time. Was seated on the patio and ordered the Cajun Chicken Penne and a Kiltlifter. The Cajun Chicken Pasta was excellent, the beer was cold, but the patio was a little hot. Strange...
This is a good casual eatery. You go to counter to order and then seat yourself. Our favorite sandwich is the turkey carver dip and the chopped market salad is great. EAT IN OR TAKE OUT. No drive thru.Non smoking-which we love.

We have been trying all of the local mexican restaurants and we were very pleased with El Penasco. The service was good and the servers VERY friendly! Even the owner came out and said Hi and introduced himself.... The salsas are great and very creative. The enchiladas are bland....but we will be...

The food is authentic and delicious. Portion size is generous and El Penasco's frozen margaritas are the best in Tempe and perhaps beyond. The decor is a combination Mexican cantina and all you can eat Chinese restuarant. The staff is friendly andthe service is outstanding.
awesome service, not so great security detail. was rushed to "drink and get the f*** out" 5 min before last call. guess they had a hot date or something, not the first time either. get a more mature security team, this place would be awesome.
Part of a chain, each one I have eaten in has good food. Their burgers are great, and the fried fish is wonderful. Ask for malt vinegar with it. Unlimited refills on soft drinks
Aside from feeling like a total switch hitter for simply walking into a bar named Sneakers... well it never got any better. The servers were more like sitters. They litterally sat on thier ass and watched me and friends not drink a thing. They never even smiled to let us know how much they didn't ...
I went in to sneakers three times in a row because it's my neighborhood bar. I'm big on that kind of thing, and supporting local business. But Sneakers is terrible. Each time I came in it took well over half and hour to get a drink. Each time I had to leave my table, because I guess at sneakers ...
Real good barbeque. You can smell it half a block away. The sandwiches are huge, with loads of meat on them and your choice of sauce - spicy or mild. Portions of frys are huge. A total eating experience! They will even smoke your turkey or ham for the holidays if you bring it to them.
Tom's motto is "More meat falls off than others put on" and that's a fact!! In fact all of the portions there are HUGE. The meat is well smoked provides a delicious smokey flavor that's consistent week after week. Choice of multiple barbeque sauses makes this an all round winner. Check out http://w...
