Nice ambience and good food, but VERY slow service. Waited and waited for menus and then waited and waited for the check.

the food was very good, table selection was limited, noise level was low. service was slow because we were behind a wall and had to flag the waitstaff to get served, but we went for the food so have to rate it 4 stars

Very casual pub ambiance. Usually quite noisy when busy. Good menu selection. We go frequently for their excellent salads (most offered with full and half portions). Service is friendly, but not attentive. Discount for seniors. Dress warmly, they keep it very cold!

We went on a Saturday night and had a great hamburger. The chocolate cake was to die for. The band was a 12 piece jazz group and they were fantastic. Played lots of Tower of Power.
A nice, clean well lighted and decorated setting. The menu has many superb selections. The food is consistent in taste and quality. I recommend the potstickers, mushu pork, and eggplant. the chow mein is very good, too. A good family restaurant.
This place is great! The food is delicious and taste so authentic! It's a small little restaurant but always packed! Great hangout place with live entertainment (belly dancing) the host are great. not that pricey either!
This restaurant is small but the food is excellent. Its the only place I have found lamb served in Modesto. The owner is friendly and will go out of they way for you, especially if you catch one of those rare times its slow.

it's nice and clean and friendly... hardly ever busy... so it's relaxing... food is good... but I have always liked taco bell better myself... their tacos del carbon... are miniature for the large price.

I liked it better than Taco Bell. I went thru the drive-thru and it took almost 10 minutes.

My wife and I had an Anniversary dinner here on 2-11-09. We've been here before on several ocasions and have always had wonderful service and terrific food. The menu is typical American cuisine and the prices are slightly above average for a steak with sides. We had calimari for our starter. The...

I took my boyfriend to Dewz yesterday and we had a terrible experience. We had to wait 15 mins for a table to be cleaned that was empty when we walked in. After being seated it was 10 minutes before the waitress asked us what we would like to drink. I ordered wine that came within minutes but my gue...

Terribly inattentive service for our lunch party of 6 at 11:55AM on Saturday with just 3 other tables occupied. Food ranged from very good (seafood pasta) to good(cobb salad) to fair(blackened snapper sandwich, with 6 bones in it) $10.25/glass for Turkey Flat Rose? Retail $12 wine. Obscene markup o...

I'm not a Modestan and keep searching for a "good" restaurant. I've been assured that Dewz is it. Well, I tried their lunch, a turkey sandwich - salty, soft mystery meat. Okay, so I tried the apple crisp. Mushy apples, mushy topping. If you are depending on a quality if not gourmet reputation,...

Three friends and I showed up for some drinks and dinner. The restaurant said they had no tables available, so we ate appetizers and had drinks in the "lobby/bar". Stayed for over an hour- and approximately 10 table were still open in the dining area by the time we left. What a joke!

We arrived at Dewz for New Years Eve dinner and found the tables a bit close together for a party of six. The wine list was exceptional and diverse, one of the best in the valley, with California and the world well represented in their cellar. Pricing was off the mark on the high end cabs and res...

My wife and I had dinner at Dews on August 21 to celebrate out 26th wedding anniversary. We had been to Dews several times at their previous location, but this was the first time since they moved. We liked the new location better, as well as the decor, service, and food. Everything was better (an...
