If you like greasy dark meat chicken then you have found the place you would like. But if you like white meat (breasts & wings) you won't find any here on their buffet.

Yamato's was packed on a Friday night and we had to wait for almost an hour just to be seated. Boy was it worth it though! The food was delicious especially the spicy tuna rolls. My mouth is watering even as I write this. Also you wouldn't expect the steaks to be good at a Japanese restaurant but...

I am always surprised at the poor reviews from people who don't sound like they'd know good food if you paid them to eat it. Or the huge amount of students and folks from Gainesville who frequent the chain restaurants that use corporate guidelines and stick to the same recipes throughout the entire ...

Have gotten food from here since they opened. Always do a great job. Never had anything I didn't like, or enjoy. I wish they delivered too.
We've been there a few times, once for lunch and twice for dinner. On all of our visits the food looks repetitive from pan to pan, mostly chicken dishes but inconsistant in flavor. On one visit it seemed like the food all tasted basically the same. Also, they don't keep the pans adequately filled...

My wife and I have been eating here for over 10 years. The specials never disappoint and the food is always top-quality. Recently they have switched to local vegetables which we love. The place is a little dated in terms of the look, but it does not detract from the experience. It the go to spot whe...

Joe's Place is our home away from home. Comfort food at its best. Their burgers are amazing and the sandwiches are true NY style, especially the reuben! The service and management always make us feel welcome. Overall, a great family value and a local eatery in Gainesville.

My family has been to nw grille on numerous occasions and i can honestly state that it has always been an excellent evening. We have no problem recommending it to friends. My favorite is the bleu cheese stuffed grouper and their homemade desserts. The ambiance is a little dark sometimes, but that is...

I had been hearing about this restaurant for a while, but we live on the opposite end of town. My wife and I finally made it to Northwest Grille this past weekend. Our experience was great! This local gem is hidden off of NW 39th Ave and has some of the best seafood we've had in a long time. Our ent...
This place is amazing! Best flavored iced coffee, breakfast sandwiches, baked goods, lattes, and mochas. Fat-free and sugar-free versions of everything! Also delicious smoothies, milkshakes, and even home-made flavored cream cheeses. Definitely best to-go breakfast place in Gainesville. Also ve...

I tried the Asian Buffet last night for the first time, telephoning in my to-go order for a Szechuan chicken combination platter with an extra egg roll. The young woman on the line was courteous and helpful, and told me my order would be ready in 10-15 minutes. Arriving 10 minutes later, I was gre...

The food was great...we love the chicken bowl!
I have been eating at the deli for years. It is our loccal "Cheers" place to gather and dine. The staff is so friendly, the food is great, location is in the heart of town. Their are so many "regulars" that many of us have formed friendships because we always see each other there. Almost a home away...

This was actually a really good spot to bring my family. They have a fun, friendly atmosphere and the food is very good. We've been going on all-you-can-eat Sushi night on Wednesdays, and they have live entertainment. I don't think many people know about it though, but that seems to be changing.
My family, including my 18 month old grandchild stopped in Gainesville last weekend to see the University on the way to Disney. The hotel recommended Amelia's and did us a big favor doing so. The food was absolutely superb. I had shrimp fra diavalo which was as good as any I had ever had. My wife lo...
