I don't know how this restaurant managed to stay in business for over thirty years. I believe the management must have changed hands several times. The outside patio has a very pleasant atmosphere, but the food was an enormous disappointment. I'd recommend just ordering appetizers. Ours was huge, enough for 4. Our main entrees were ill-prepared and so boring I reverted to the original appetizer!
Poor service ruined the dining experience. Queso was cold - sent it back and was good. Dinner arrived later - cold - no offer was made to make it right, so I gave up, paid my bill and left no tip. Food may have been good when fresh, but sat in the window too long.

My husband and I ate here on vacation, it was horrible. We both had broiled seafood platters, the scallops were not done sent them back still were not done. Not happy at all. A lot of money to pay and it not be good!!

Hurricane Patty's was once the happening spot in St. A. It is now a dive. Health Department had to shut it down and now that it is re-opened. You have really poor service and food that is not that great. They run out of product a lot and lately the draft has been down so we are expected to pay premi...

We went to Barnacle Bills on 9/14/09...my husband ordered the mahi grilled platter w/ baked potato and cucumber salad for sides. I ordered the fried flounder sandwich w/ fries for side. We both ordered Caesar salads.

I'm originally from N.Y.and moved to St.Augustine a short time ago. Fishing from the pier in Vilano we discovered Benito's Pizza,Wow! Finally a pizza that tasted like home in N.Y.C. It's the only thing I really missed from N.Y. and now we have the best of everything right here in sunny florida!

After waiting 100 minutes to be seated (we were originally told 30 to 40 minutes untill a table would be ready and then kept getting told only twenty more minutes untill we were finally seated) we then waited 45 minutes to get our food. One individuals order was completly wrong, and the menu failed...
