The food was not hot when it came out and it took forever. I've not had a good dining experience at Baratta's the last few times I've been there and I won't be going back anytime soon. I talked about my experience with some friends and they, too had similar experiences. It is too bad - it used to ...
very good food, and pleasant staff Clean environment, can be a bit noisy at times
Average to mediocre Italian food that can be topped by any number of restaurants in Des Moines and elsewhere. Noah's Ark is much, much better Italian food. Will not eat at Baratta's again. Great service, ordinary food.
A little overrated. They recently raised prices quite a bit and their food didn't improve w/ increase. Pizza a little greasy. Not real kid friendly - not a lot for them to see/do. Sandwiches were ok, but nothing to brag about. Not my favorite southside spot! Recommend others first.
Barrattas is a cool place. The food is great...but the dining areas could look a lot better. The prices are pretty good too.
great food. Gets busy but get served quickley. Never had bad food. There Italian Sausage is the best in town. Must not get it from same place everyone else uses.
Baratta's has amazing food, great service and the people that work there are so nice and really cater to your needs. I recommend this place to anyone that likes Italian food!
This is one of the finest steak houses I have ever been too. A wonderful atmosphere that is second to none, outstanding service. Highly recommended!

They have this piano guy that plays on certain days. Would definitely recommend going when he is there. Creates a wonderful ambience.
I just loved this place. It was one of the best italian dining experiences I have ever had.
The best salad dressing in Des Moines. Beyond that the cavatelli is good, the Jamaican jerk sandwich is really good and it's some of the best pizza you'll find anywhere. It's worth a visit.
