If you have never had Alvarados... you are missing out. The tacos are the BEST!! They are also open ALL THE TIME! Get the beef tacos and some extra sauce.. the sauce is hot but not so hot it ruins the meal. Bring a big appetite!

Everything was wonderful! The staff was super nice. It's never too busy when we go so there's not much of a wait, food is quick and the staff is attentive. The food is delicious. We always go on tuesdays because they have a kids eat free night. It's always a good time. I would highly recommend it.
One visit I got there and they told me they were out of salsa!! A Mexican restaurant with no salsa is like McDonalds without ketchup. Another visit, I asked for ground beef instead of chicken in a dish (something they had done for me at least 4 times). They told me they were out of ground beef. ...

The food is mediocre at best. The location of the restaurant is in a shady part of town. The staff was decent.
Truly AUTHENTIC Mexican Cuisine! The food was/is wonderful! Not for everyone. Especially, those who's taste buds are adapted to the "Pseudo-Mexican" Food served in your more popular "Chain/Franchise" restaurants. It may not be located in West Omaha, but don't knock it til' you, ACTUALLY, try it.
Its good all mexican food
My main complaint is Rivera's policy of only one small complimentary serving (bowl/basket) of chips and salsa per table (regardless of the number of diners at the table, whether it's one or six). Requests for additional servings of chips and salsa adds a charge of $1.99 per serving to your bill...I...
OK, what part of MEXICAN did their cooks not understand. Unless I smothered my food in salsa, it was tasteless and that went for our entire group of four that all ordered something different. We won't be back!
