I have visited Country Kitchen on many occasions and have never been disappointed... the fried chicken is out of this world..I can truly say this one of the only true examples of down home cooking left in NYC...and you can also enjoy a great Karaeoke show there every Friday!!
Therre's no other Soul Food Restaurant that really speaks to the palate as Country Kitchen. The food is truly a combination of southern cuisine and the essence of Soul. I've eaten at "Sylvia's", Amy Ruth but I keep coming back to Country Kitchen
I'll keep this brief. Great food, great service and really nice atmosphere. Ask to be seated in the main dining room if you dont want to bet on horseracing (OTB) The entree selection is not very adventuress (well it is a steakhouse) but the prices are sure to please, highly recommend!!!
I consider Country Kitchen one of the "SOUL FOOD" restaurant, and my favorite, place to eat Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner!!! Congrats!

Not a bad place at all. I had dinner there tonight... it was mostly empty and quiet, and there was plenty of parking. Food and service were both fine... very nice experience.
I went on a Saturday night. The menu is very limited and the food is just ok. The waitress didn't even offer us dessert and wasn't too attentive. We had to ask and the dessert wasn't great either. However, staff was nice and the atmosphere is very charming. Prices are pretty decent too. Like the ant...
A peaceful ambiance with an elegant, and courteous staff. Mouth watering dishes, and a great wine list. You can not go wrong with a great meal, perfect service, a cozy atmosphere, and OTB. ****
