Food was outstanding. Everything was fresh - not fast food. Soups are homemade. Good stuff!!!
The food is very good. I order from there at least once during my visit from Fl.
Your restaurant has great potential, but you are going to put yourselves out-of-business if you do not make some changes. We had lunch inside around noon today and were the only ones in there until we were leaving around 1:00 p.m. - three gentlemen came in and sat at one table. Outside -three tabl...
Big Jims is an extremely casual atmosphere, more like a diner or a small pub. Good BBQ, cold beer, watch the game. No need to dress up. Primary function of Big Jims is a catering business.
Big Jim's is a specialized experience. Essentially a neighborhood bar/eatery that does a lot of catering, its draw is the best hamburgers for many hundreds of miles around at prices that are unbelievable.
I have eaten at Winkys many times and I always have a hard time choosing what I want to eat ... it's all so GOOD. The footlong platter, the Big burger platter, the BBQ platter, and the Hot Wings are my favorites. The menu is much larger than that. You must stop by and try for yourself. Another thing...
Excellent Northern Italian cooking. Interesting specials. Very professional service. The focus is on good food and not on glitzy decor.
Superb! Fabulous food, incredible and attentive, but not overpowering service, lovely menu. Do not miss the opportunity to dine here. BF
Have eaten here numerous times and it is the most authentic Mexican food in Charlottesville. Especially great are the Carnitas Tacos which are always flavorful and tender. We also always enjoy the Queso Fundido which is a chorizo cheese dip to eat with your chips. So far everything we've eaten here ...

After having pleasant meals here three times, the fourth time resulted in the only case of food poisoning I have ever experienced. Once I overcome the present aversion I now have to tofu stuffed acorn squash I might return to Escafe. Their menu is very creative and offers many vegetarian alternative...

Dined at Escafe with friends. It was very lively and had a great crowd and atmoshpere. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone who wants to have a good time, great food, in a great location without spending a ton of money.
Very nice dining room with functional firplace & aquarium. Small bar on opposite half of restaurant does not interfere with diners. Food is average but service and atmosphere are better. Busy on weekends!
The quality is not bad. It's greasy, so/so Mexican food but the service was so terrible the last time, we left before they could take our order and won't be back.
Guiness lovers! Pack your Red Socks hat, pool cue and appetite! (But leave the darts and rugrats at home.) We have been there twice and have had great and interesting times. The first time I had Tartleton(?) sandwich, she had the veggie sandwich and $1 pints (real Pints!) from 4-9 pm. The food was g...
This place has great bar food and a very decent selection of draft beer. Happy hour is hands down the best deal in town with $3.50 appetizers and really cheap drinks. (4:30-7, M-F) The service is always good and you can't beat the value!
There's nothing better than going out to a place, having two appetizers and a couple of beers and leaving for less than $15. Plus, its a great atmosphere and the people there are a lot of fun.
