My wife and I love Sammies ribs which are cooked dry rubbed and their vinegar based barbecue sauce. A refreshing change from the too sweet sauces so often found in chain BBQ places. Sammies offers a choice of sweet or tart slaw and the tart is so good I have never tried the sweet version. The service is "country friendly" with smiling servers who as likely as not will call you "Hon". All of this is a real west Texas atmosphere. Sammies is the first place we take all our friends when they visit us in our new Fort Worth home.

I have searched far and wide for the best Chopped BBQ. I have braved scary chunks of gristle runny BBQ and other bad experieces. Finally I found Sammies. They have a sweet yet spicy sauce anda lean but juicy texture. anothe big plus is there Steak Cut french fries. Look no further for your "Sloppy Joe" BBQ Sammies has the best!! BTW there other BBQ is great too. I ordr mine by the pound its the best value. When I come home to Fort Worth I always get some Sammies Chopped BBQ

Great food, and lots of it. Been going here since I was a kid. Great ribs, fried okra, potato salad and so on. People are very friendly. Real BBQ

Two visits to this restaurant were both very disappointing. I went through the drive-thru once and ordered two chicken dinners. When I got home, me and my girlfriend couldn't even eat the chicken because it was so dry and tasteless. That was a year or so ago. Recently, I tried again but this time ordered ribs. They weren't any better. Service was slow, the cost was high, and the quality was poor. I won't go back.
