First of all, I never give the maximum rating on anything unless it was truly AMAZING, so that is why there are no 4 starts. That said, this is probably the best Thai food in Anchorage, and maybe the best in Alaska for that matter. They aren't kidding about the spicy part either. You tell the waiter how spicy you want it, on a scale of 1-7. I consider myself a medium tolerance person when it comes to hot food, and I've eaten lots of Thai food. So I asked for a "3". The waiter asked if I'd ever been there, and told me to get a "2" when I told him it was my first time. I'm going back today for lunch, and I'll definitely be getting a "1"! The food was really good though. I've tried 2 or 3 Thai places in Anchorage and this is easily the best so far, and reasonably priced, like most Thai places. I had the Radh Nah, a noodle dish with vegetables and a black bean sauce (i think). I've had this other places many times, and the serving at Siam Spicy was as good or better than any of the others I've had.
We love this restaurant! Been going there with the kids since they opened and take the grandparents when they visit. Hostess is friendly and understands wheat allergies. We've tried everything on the menu and love it all!
