I have been here numerous times, and no other Mexican restaurant in Norman can hold a candle to Tarahumara's. Every time I go the food is delicious and the service is very fast. In high school, I was able to come here and eat on my short lunch break with time to spare. There are TVs throughout that show video of the kitchen so you can see where the food is prepared and who is handling it, which made me very comfortable. There are also big screens with sports, and I can't say enough about the food and service-- a wonderful place to eat.

The food was very good. What was horrible was how we were treated by the management. When we ordered and asked to split an entree, the waiter attempted to explain about the extra charge. We couldn't understand what he was saying and asked many questions. We said no to the extra set up--believing that we wouldn't be charged for it. Well, we were charged $6.50 for an empty plate. When we complained, the waiter said that he had explained the charge. When we spoke to the manager, he lied to us and said that he was standing nearby and heard the waiter tell us about the charge. If he was standing there--then he would have known that we didn't understand the waiter and he should have stopped by the table to clear up the confusion. He finally agreed to "pay us back" the $6.50. When I told him that he should have apologized and told us that he would take care of it, he said, "No!" I again stated that he should have apologized for the confusion and agreed to take care of it. I asked him why there was no thought to the customer. His reply was, "If you don't like it, then go somewhere else." This was in front of most of the restaurant. We will definitely go somewhere else.
My family and I was looking for a good Chinese restaurant to eat at tonight, and when we saw the huge number of cars at Teds, we were curious. So we went, and we didn't even mind the fact that the hostess said it would be a 30 minute wait, after all
