I've eaten at this restaurant 4 times over the past two years while I'm in Spokane for work and this time was the last. I eat at a different Indian restaurant almost every month, but this was the worst indian food I've ever had in my life. I'm still puzzled at how bad it was. Not only was it bad indian food, but the worst food I've ever eaten. It must have changed ownership because now there are a bunch of Koreans running it. Here are the details. The naan was hard and was a day old. The sauces were watery and left water all over my plate. Nothing had any flavor whatsoever. I tried everything on the buffet to find a redeeming item but none was good at all. Even the rice pudding was runny. The worst of all? They raised their price from $8.99 to $11.99. So you get horrible food at 30% more! It's amazing how bad this food was. I wish they had negative stars on this scale. avoid this restaurant if at all possible!!!!!

The food here is very authentic. I am east Indian myself and have had bad experiences at other Indian places, but we love the food here. Lamb Korma, Butter chicken, Daal Makhni, Chana masala (dish made of garbanzo beans) and Mango Lassi (cold & refreshing drink) are our favourites. And the plain Naan is so yummy !!!!! The owners are very nice and accomodating with children.

When we go to Spokane (we live in Montana) A taste of India is always on our list. Having friends from India and being very familiar with Indian cuisine, we love the food and service at the restaurant. They are always very kind and accomidating even to our children. Great restaurant!

This remains our families favorite restaurant. The food is always perfect with all the right spices and aromas... Yum! We always seem to wait quite awhile for the service. They do not always have enough people to wait on you. Time wise it can be a bit hard, but trust me it is more than worth the wait. Try the Buttered chicken and Garlic Naan it is my favorite.
I've been to Spokane's "Taste of India" twice now, about a year apart. First time was for dinner (never been to an Indian restaurant before), and then the other day for their luncheon buffet. It's quite the no frills deal, which in my opinion was just fine with me, cause I was there for the food, and the food was fantastic. I found the service very good (the owner was my son's & my waiter when we stopped in for din-din). He answered all our questions about the cuisine with patience & thoroughness. He was always checking to see if we needed anything, and immediately attended to those needs when requested. This, despite the fact the place was quite busy and he was the only server. The luncheon buffet was a treat with variety of food items that were delicious. Well worth the pennies. I'll be back next time I'm in Spokane... you can count on it!
The plain naan bread rocks, but the garlic naan bread isn't worth the extra cost. The curries are terrific and the staff is friendly. Good menue selection and very competative pricing. My wife and I are very pleased to have found Taste of India. Enjoy!

Hare Krishna! I have been going here for years, the food is great, I especially like the buffet, gives you a chance to sample several dishes for one price, and keep going back for more. The only critisism I would have is they need more vegetarian dishes.

I love Indian food, and this has the best North Indian cuisine in Spokane.

This restaurant has been steadily improving despite it's bumpy past. The service has improved, as well as the cooking. I much preferred the lesser known, and now out of business Delhi Palace-but think that A Taste of India has been really stepping up to the plate. Especially at the new Valley location
The food here is wonderful if taken off the menu. The buffet is kinda mundun. Service is helpful (if you don't know what to order.) Friendly and attentive.

What a shame of a resturant! The food is highly coloured, real lack of taste. The service was quite bad too! What a shame there is no other indian resturant in town!
