The Front Cafe, one of the pioneers in the resurgence of Northeast Minneapolis, was originally established as a bar in 1994. It offered simple libations, dancing and creative entertainment. As the neighborhood grew and matured so did The Front Cafe. In November 2008 we expanded our offerings to include lunch and dinner.
Like our website, our hospitality mission is simple and straightforward: offer delicious moderately priced food, provide friendly attentive service and maintain a vibrant and interesting yet comfortable ATMOSPHERE.
Our chef, CHEF ROLANDO DIAZ , was born in New York City but grew up in Costa Rica. Rolando has created a Latin influenced MENU calling on his experience in his family's restaurant in Costa Rica along with his study of American tastes during his 6 years in Minnesota.
Needless to say, we are proud of our efforts at The Front Cafe.
