The Sole Proprietor was named one of the country's 2005. Top Ten Seafood Houses by Tom Horan's America's Top Ten Club. It has been named the area's best seafood restaurant by Worcester Magazine for 17 of the past 18 years, and the area's best restaurant in 1999, 2003 and 2004. It has won Wine Spectator's "Award of Excellence" for four consecutive years.
I called ahead and it was ready when I arrived... very fresh, cheap ($5 for dinner) and portion size was perfect.
Doesn't come with any extras (tartar sauce, ketchup or lemon), but good enough to eat without.

Fish and Chips, done right. Nothing fancy, just fresh, fried, and delicious.
We were in and out in less than 2min with our order, for 5 bucks a pop it can't be beat.
