The Very Best Wiener Shop in Pottstown, PA the "Very Best Wiener Shop" in Pottstown, PA opened in 1921 and has been serving the Famous Hot Dogs for 86 years. The "Very Best Wiener Shop" is known for their amazing hot dogs and the special meat sauce they put on top of your dog. The restaurant is also open for breakfast and has many other items on the menu. It was run by a father who then passed it down to his son for 86 years.
In July 2007, Joe Miller and Amy Shuster along with Joe's dad Barry Miller will become only the third owners in the history of this restaurant. We wanted to buy this restaurant because of the memories Joe has going back years when Joe’s grandfather (Perse Miller) would bring Joe’s father (Barry Miller) for dinner every Friday night. After Joe was born Barry Miller started bringing Joe here every weekend for lunch. Joe has been bringing his son here since he was able to and now brings Amy’s two kids here as well. It’s a big family lunch on Saturday’s for us that everyone looks forward too. We wanted to keep this a family restaurant and a family tradition.
