i may be a bit biased (my parent's neighbors own the restaurant) but i think Via Emilia is the best Italian restaurant in town. The food is amazingly fresh. the menu changes a bit day by day. i've had a couple of the eggplant dishes (soft but not soggy inside, crisp outside) and my mom and husband have had a couple of the seafood dishes. the veggies are great (so far he's served his dishes with a side of sauteed summer squash, sugar snap peas and carrots). well seasoned and cooked 'till they're just soft. i've had the fried green tomato appetizer and the bruschetta. the bruschetta was topped with fresh mozzarella. delicious!!!
the restaurant is quite small so if you're planning on stopping by Friday or Saturday night, you may find it a little crowded. since it's located right across from USA this is very true during the times school is in session. the outdoor dining area is lovely with a nice pond with some beautiful koi.
the prices range from $15-$25. the portions are generous and the flavors are right on. most of the patrons are adults and college kids. the owner has a couple of grade school aged kids who eat there and love the food as well!
the staff is very nice and attentive. Via Emilia is a great Italian restaurant with a relaxed dress code yet 5 star food and ambiance. you'll never want to eat at a chain Italian restaurant ever again!

I have not been to this place since the chef changed, because I adored the pizza, salad and fun atmosphere when he was there. I heard there is a new menu, so I decided to try it. Never again! The service is so bad. It looks like a bunch of peopl
