I went during half off sushi night. What a joke. All the half off items were not raw fish but Cali roles or really flavorless vegetables. The food was not good, the service terrible, and atmosphere terrible.

I love sushi, when i lived in Ann Arbor i went and got it 2-3 times a week. I went to Wild Chef and brought my best friend along, excited to show her this delicious food and was extremely disappointed. The services was dull and aloft while the sushi bland and flavorless. I was really surprised because i expected more, especially with the prices. In Ann Arbor we have Sadako, where the sushi is amazing, the service is friendly, and the attitude warm. Maybe the two should correspond and make things better for everyone.

I have been a long time regular at wild chef. im friends with Jey (the sushi chef) and i go here about twice a week. it gets costly but its absolutely amazing. i am a big fan of sushi and have eaten in plenty of "high class" sushi places. i would have to say wild chef is my hidden gem. as where the service from the waitresses isnt always timely Jey will do whatever you need no matter how busy he is. i tip him instead of the waitresses because he usually takes my order and gets the bill. upon request he can make the rice under the sushi smaller. i like it to be more filling so i like it the way it is but when my girlfriend goes with she likes the smaller pieces. i would definitely recommend the unagi and the dragon rolls. super white tuna is my absolute favorite and jey knows. good prices great sushi and an amazing chef! it also has a great hometown look to it with Polaroids all over the walls taken on special occasions. also there is a separate room for those that love hiabatchi. GO THERE! e mail me with any questions! just title the email "sushi" it will catch my attention.

I love this place! I must admit, I only go for the sushi since i usually eat alone. While the selections are typical for West Michigan the Chefs and sushi are top notch. The Servers are very friendly but they could use more help during their busy hours. In my opinion their food is always worth the wait.
