We've been going to Yokohama for years now, and it is absolutely the best sushi I've ever had. Even their cooked food is outstanding! The owners are the nicest people you could ever meet as well.

Anyone who rates Yokohama has clearly not experienced or eaten GOOD sushi and sashimi. Yokohama is quite possibly the worst Japanese restaurant I've ever been to, and that's nationwide. The minute you walk in the door you smell fish, and one will NEVER smell FRESH fish. Yokohama uses, keeps, and serves low quality, low price, smelly, old fish. Horrendous.

Yokohama is quite possibly the worst Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. You can smell fish the minute you walk in the door -- FRESH fish has no odor, so you know Yokohama's fish is of low quality and old. Low ambiance, poor value unless you want to risk your GI health. Visit Sakura in Chester Springs for the freshest sushi and best service around.

My family has been to this restaurant since we moved here. We eaten on both sides (teppanyaki and the side where you can get anything from udon to bento). It is a little bit of a drive for us (45 min) but always worth it. The people are friendly and attentive and the food is great. I'm not sure when they added the bento but in the restaurants I've been to, they've been outrageously priced.. but not here. I don't need a "show" with my meal and not particularly fond of eating among strangers so I go to the teppanyaki side if we go with guests. I like to have sushi with my meal, so we don't go to the sushi bar. The meal is not complete without freshly brewed green tea, but if I choose alcohol, it's BYOB and I bring plum wine..not usually sakE.

My husband and I have traveled all over the US trying different sushi bars and have yet to find one like Yokohama that serves up consistently outstanding sushi. They're the masters and we've been frequenting this restaurant for the 17 years we've been married. If you're looking for outstanding sushi - this one beats them all. Bring your own saki.
The Yokohama is a resturant that emphasizes cooking on the grill- teriyaki-style grills are set up for each table, with an area for a la carte dining. Yokohama is a value for the good food that is served, the pleasant service, and the cleanliness. The chef who grill the food at your table are entertaining for children and adults alike.
