The only good thing about this restaurant was the flavor of the deep dish pizza. If it had been hot, it would have been better. Like the rest of our visit, everything was sub-par from service to ambiance to food temperature.
Our server brought our drinks to our table 30 minutes after we placed our order and forgot one of the four drinks. The pizza we ordered came at the same time as another pair of visitors despite the fact that they had come in 20 minutes after us. We were asked by the server if we wanted our appetizers to go because they were running behind. I said no. One of the two appetizers came 10 minutes after that. The second set came another 10 minutes after the pizza arrived. All the food was room temperature and the last drink had to be requested four times before it was brought to the table.
To put the icing on the cake, an order of fries that was ordered at the beginning was never filled. There were two patrons who had been seated and they left because no one came to take their order. At least eight other individuals left because they were left standing at the entrance, waiting to be seated and weren't in a prompt manner. It's not as if it was a full house, either, for the server to be occupied. When another couple seated themselves near the end of our meal (because, of course, the server didn't seat them), I had to spare them the agony of our visit and told them they would be in for a long wait. My husband backed up my statement. They smiled and appreciated our honesty and left.
The lighting was dark and gloomy. The tables of other patrons who had already left were not cleaned until almost an hour after they had left.
We chose to Edwardo's in Hyde Park because we wanted to stay in the city and were celebrating a birthday. We can say with complete sincerity that this location will NEVER be visited again. We're not sure if it was the younger-looking wait staff and possible cooks that made their service reprehensible, but if you want prompt service and hot food, go to the Wendy's drive-thru, which is where we ended up going to get my daughter's fries at 55th and the Dan Ryan. Go Wendy's!
I had a pizza carryout from Bellonas tonight; cheese, sausage, mushroom, onion and garlic. One of the most popular remarks when rating a pizza is the crust. You either like thin and crispy or thick and doughy. I ordered a thin crust since I dont care

I had the best experience at Bellona's Pizza. I do not agree with the comment above. Bellona's Pizza has been around since 2001, and I have been ordering from them since then on a regular basis. The vegetables are always fresh cut, they never use can

Great Chicago deep dish pizza!! It hasn't been around since the beginning of time....but they have it figured out, and alot less wait time. Lots of flavor to the pizza with plenty of toppings, and the owner actually spends time in the restaurant an

I've been to Morrison's at 81st and Ashland about 2 dozen times in less than 6 months. I was raised in the south and Morrison's is the real deal. I've tried almost everything they have and the worst that can be said is they need more servers to han

To the person that said the food was nasty, you are thinking about the restaurant down the street. Morrisons doesnt use White gravy, and the BROWN gravy we do have is placed on your food as requested. i love my job and the food we serve.
