A friend of a friend suggested Geno's as a good place to eat. I took my mother, and her sister to Geno's based on this recommendation.
When we first walked, in my mother and I looked at each other. We both were thinking, old world cheesy atmosphere, it could be a gem in the rough. Boy were we wrong. I was so disappointed by everthing. The soup was tasteless. The pasta sauce was heavy, red and bland. I had better pizza at the drive-in growing up. The staff is nice and it looked like they had a regular crowd, go figure. Luckily, I was able to get back in my aunt's good graces by taking her to Luigi's the next time she came to town.
