A friend of a friend suggested Geno's as a good place to eat. I took my mother, and her sister to Geno's based on this recommendation. When we first walked, in my mother and I looked at each other. We both were thinking, old world cheesy atmosphere, it could be a gem in the rough. Boy were we wrong. I was so disappointed by everthing. The soup was tasteless. The pasta sauce was heavy, red and bland. I had better pizza at the drive-in growing up. The staff is nice and it looked like they had a regular crowd, go figure. Luckily, I was able to get back in my aunt's good graces by taking her to Luigi's the next time she came to town.
This is probably one of my two favorite restaurants in the world. It's not perfect (I did have one bad experience here several years ago), but overall, it's great. The Calzones are marvelous, the pastas wonderful and there are plenty of delicious ite
