I have to say that I have been there a few times over the last year and did find the waitstaff to be on the rude side. I am a local of 23 years and do remember when this restaurant was friendlier, more relaxing and I do have to say that the food is not as good as it once was and the cocktails are t...
We went to Barnacle Bills on 9/14/09...my husband ordered the mahi grilled platter w/ baked potato and cucumber salad for sides. I ordered the fried flounder sandwich w/ fries for side. We both ordered Caesar salads.
THAT IS WHAT WE ORDERED...HERE IS WHAT WE RECEIVED:
My husband received a leathe...
Since the other reviews are several years old I can only assume the restaurant has done a complete turnaround because my family loved it. I didn't want to go there because I assumed it was a family-type, fried-seafood place. And it was. But it was GREAT. It was very clean, the tables were far ap...
On 03/15/09, a sunday. I decided to take my inlaws, wife and three kids to Caps for a late lunch. I called ahead and asked if the they had call ahead seating, and if woe could make the lunch menu. The very gratious waitstaff said no problem. as long as you are seated by 3:30pm.
We arrived @ 2...
To the person with the first review Mary has nothin to do with Hurricane Patty's she is not a owner and never was.She did work there for a very small amount of time before being fired. Myself knowing this because I am a regular who is a very good friend of the owner, and they never got forced to shu...
I am glad to say that I have been to Hurricane Patty's over the last 3 years and have see it go from good to bad to really bad and then jump up to great. I recently visited one of my favorite restaurants and was happily greeted and quickly served. My food was fresh and tasted wonderful. The once ru...
My husband and I ate here on vacation, it was horrible. We both had broiled seafood platters, the scallops were not done sent them back still were not done. Not happy at all. A lot of money to pay and it not be good!!
ditto the last review...if anything it is even worse.. Been a regular for over 4 yrs. happy hour is a joke and the service would be better if self-serve....at least you could wait on yourself
Hurricane Patty's was once the happening spot in St. A. It is now a dive. Health Department had to shut it down and now that it is re-opened. You have really poor service and food that is not that great. They run out of product a lot and lately the draft has been down so we are expected to pay premi...
Giving this Restaurant/Bar one star at this point is one star to many. We have been regulars of this establishment for over 7 years. Loved the place. Then it was SOLD. Upside, we figured it will get cleaned up and some new food on the menu... LOL this is what you get now... And I am not LYING!!! Be ...
This restaurant was recommended by a local and I am very sorry we went. The table was dirty, and we had to sit outside because they would not let us sit (with our kids) inside ... well, except for this plastic bubbled room! There were only TWO kids menu options. My She Crap Soup was COLD and used...
I had read other reviews and decided to try. I had a bad feeling before I walked in the door, but decided to try anyway. Dirty outside, usually means dirty inside and this was the case. I was very disappointed with the choices for side items (buttered corn- out of a can, mandarin oranges - out of...
Like most restaruant if you are visitng it is hard to know the palce to go. However, I enjoyed eating at Marty's. Food tasty, bread delicious and friendly service.
After waiting 100 minutes to be seated (we were originally told 30 to 40 minutes untill a table would be ready and then kept getting told only twenty more minutes untill we were finally seated) we then waited 45 minutes to get our food. One individuals order was completly wrong, and the menu failed...
I don't know how this restaurant managed to stay in business for over thirty years. I believe the management must have changed hands several times. The service was friendly but the food was of poor quality. It was very obvious that it had been sitting around waiting to be used. Everything looked dri...
Imagine you have a big dock jutting out into the Intracoastal Waterway with the seating area a deck. Boats come in, dock, and eat. Your drive down and ulikely side road. And you can eat outside but under a canopy of multiple river oaks with branches 3 or 4 feet over your head. Unique. Lot of fun.
My husband and I stumbled onto this restaurant on our way home from St. Augustine. I was pleasantly suprised by the setting of this little place, tucked back off the main road. We enjoyed an evening of great food, service, and the view was even better sitting on the deck, watching the water roll b...
I love Harry's Seafood in Gainesville, but the one in Saint Augustine is of lower quality when it comes to the food. However, the atmosphere is very pleasant.
I really hate to be ignored, but that's what happened at first...we were seated and then nothing happened. However...once we got our food, it was good and plentiful. This isn't a tourist place...this is one that the locals patronize.
The outside patio has a very pleasant atmosphere, but the food was an enormous disappointment. I'd recommend just ordering appetizers. Ours was huge, enough for 4. Our main entrees were ill-prepared and so boring I reverted to the original appetizer!
