Their was 18 in our group and the waitress would not issue seperate checks. After the so called stuffed burger, and a 50 minute wait, the waitress gave us a single bill which WE had to each figure out cost of each meal, tax, and amout of tip per guest. Then after another 45 minutes and talking to a v...

I went expecting great 1930 ambiance, what I got was poor service, expansive low quality food, and a bad remodel that made me wonder what the place was like before someone made it look like a bad imitation of a suburban Apple Bees. Do not go here!!

I went to the 5-8 club with my girlfriend. We sat down to a table that was dirty, (it is a seat yourself resturant so I guess what can you expect....maybe a host?) Anyways, I asked the female server about the portion of french fries and what she recommended for 2 adults. She said, "I don't know? ...

This is the 4th time we have visited the 5-8 club and this will be the last. Here’s the score SRIKE 1 - My wife and I brought our out of town family to the 5-8 Club because they had heard about the Juicy Lucy's. We ordered three different appetizers to share and our burgers. We asked that we get ou...

While not really thrilled with this place, it was all right. I think most people can read thru the one star reviews for the unreasonable expectations that are there... If you don't see what I mean then you shouldn't go there, and they will appreciate that.

I have to agree with some of the reviews posted. The Juicy Lucy was pretty good, but the service was very poor. The servers were not friendly at all and well try waiting 2.5 hours for a burger and fries with 7 kids. This time frame was not waiting for a table it was sitting at the table waiting fo...

The 5-8 Club is one of my favorite restaurants in the Minneapolis area. You can't beat their Juicy Lucy burger, onion rings, and beer prices.

This place reminds me of places I went to as a child when we were taken out for our birthday dinner (early '60s). Big portions, freindly service, family oriented and fun.

I went there at lunch and the food and service were under par. Maybe it was this specific location, but the employees were not very friendly to my kids. They are always well behaved and inquisitive. Their questions were ignored by the employees at the store. In particular the blonde haired girl was ...

Since they removed the cole slaw from the menu, I don't go there anymore.

I was very disappointed with the overall experience at the New Hope Country Kitchen. The food took about an hour until we got our food, and it was luke warm when it finally arrived to our table. I found a piece of hair in my eggs and our waitress was never around to serve to my family. Also, the sup...

i used to be a fan but with the the food getting more spendy and the manager never seeming to care about his customers and unpleasant wait staff. cold food, i dont think i will return. on top of it all, the last time i was there there were fruit flies over my table and a piece of hair in my salad. i...

WAY back, I wasn't much of a fan of Country Kitchen but with it being the only overnight option in Grand Rapids MN, I tried it a couple times and was very satisfied. This prompted me to try the one on 42nd. This one is iffy. I've been there several times and had great food and great service one t...

I had a great time, I am a female and went there with some friends just to grab a bit to eat, and thought it was a pretty cool place, except the uniforms the waitress's had to wear.

Think Al's Diner. But there is an extra three feet behind the stools. The has browns are fried in butter ( they make their own) with chopped onions. The pancakes are the best I have eaten in the Twin Cities, huge and filling. The bacon is thick, the eggs done to a turn, and the coffee cup ...

I thought the food choices were unexpectedly interesting - not the run of the mill hamburgers or french fries. The choices are healthier than the chain restaurants and much tastier. There is street or raised patio outside seating in good weather. Inside seating is cozy. Service was friendly.
Every thing is old old old Old money. Old people. Old, old decor. Old steaks aged nicely. And did I say old money? Bring plenty of it. You will need it.
This place has the best Steak I have ever tasted. Get the 28 oz. for two. The people are very friendly and the wait stuff was A+. A great place to impress your friends
