It seemed like everything in this restaurant was homemade and delicious! The sauce, salad dressing, ravioli, spaghetti, tiramusu, and much more!!! Outstanding restaurant!
My husband and I absolutely love Malara's and take our baby there often to dine. Nothing fancy, but the prices can't be beat and the food is awesome. Always love the downhome, friendly feel of the place too. I'm usually a more adventurous eater, but I always get the homemade spaghetti and meatballs ...
Malara's is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The trick to enjoying your experience is not ordering anything fancy - stick to the homemade pasta, that's the whole point in making the trip. After trying a number of different combinations, I've gotten to the point where I have a monthly cravin...
Excellent everyday Italian food, friendly and efficient service, great daily specials and very reasonable prices. Not fancy food, but homemade and very good. Their portions are generous, but you can get a half-order if your appetite or budget's not as big. And the atmosphere's nice, too. We love thi...
I am a friend of the Malara family and can tell you that this is authentic Italian food. The owners are originally from Italy and just about everything on the menu is homemade. If you haven't tried this restaurant, you are missing out.
Malara's is Omaha's most classic Italian restaurant. My family is local Italian from South Omaha and literally everyone I know that is Italian in Omaha loves Malara's and would vouch for "best in Omaha". It's authentic in every way. Traditional wine based homemade salad dressing, egg in the lasag...
FANTASTIC for first dates!! The guys LOVE the prices and LOVE you for suggesting Malara's! The food is excellent! A MUST TRY!
I grew up in Chicago and in my 20 years in Omaha found this to be the best authentic Italian restaurant. The sauce is red and sweet like it should be the pasta is homemade and the homemade Italian salad dressing is outstanding. Here is a clue always order the cheese filled ravioli or manicotti. Most...
Service was horrible horrible horrible. The server was not busy but just terribly SLOW. We waited forever after being seated to give drink orders, another 20 minutes or more for her to come take our order, at least fifteen minutes after asking for the check to get it. The food was good but when t...
A "B-" to "C+" Italian menu. Not so authentic for anyone who has actually dined in Sicilly. The linguine with clams is offered with red, white, or olive oil/garlic; I chose the latter. I received four or five actual small clams, and the generous portion of linguine was then covered with diced clams ...
Had a wonderful time at Pasta Amore. Our reservation was for 8:00 and it took them over a half an hour to get us in. I was a bit disappointed at that but once we sat down it was wonderful. They offered gulten-free pasta and that made my night. I have stayed away from Italian in Omaha because of ...
Truly authentic Sicilian dishes. Fresh pasta made on site and there is an extensive wine list. Wonderful place for first dates and special occasions. Outdoor dining when weather permits. Catering is also available.
All I can say is that you must have had an "off" night where things wern't going accordingly. That happens in every rest/ I can guarantee you with certainty that the red sauce is NOT canned. The owner is from Sicily and goes back once a year. He is an excellent chef and puts his heart and soul into...

This food is about as authentically Italian as Olive Garden. These poor, dumb people have been peddling the worst version of neo-American Italian crud since Ragu. Tragically over-cooked pasta and an antipasto of cubed cheddar, swiss and pepperjack should be offensive enough to anyone who has suffere...
