Great food. Try their green chile cheeseburger. Only downside is that they're closed on the weekends.
If you go to any other place in New Mexico you'll find out that every other New Mexican Cuisine is 10x better than this. This Food was garbage... bottom line. (p.s. The Calabisitas were trash)
The service is great and the food is just as good. The carne Adovada Enchiladas are a must have.
I stopped by Ben Michaels in the late afternoon and had the place to myself. our party had the rare privelege to order a la carte from Ben himself. Sitting outside under the warm new mexican sun I ate the most authentic NM cuisine I have ever encountered. perfect proportions, nice presentation,Just ...
We stopped here in an RV on our way to Memphis with two college age kids, my husband and I and our 7 yr old. Ambience was great. Food was fabulous and the staff (Ben and a lovely older woman) were fantastic. My husband and I are huge fans of New Mexican cuisine. This was grest for everyone. Will g...
We are fairly new locals and one of our first priorities when we moved here was to try all the NM cuisine in ABQ, we have accomplished that mission. We prefer the small independently owned businesses and we must say, Ben Michael's is on top. Everything on the menu has a distinct flavor that is not d...
First time here. It was excellent! chef came out to meet us, had an acoustic band playing some soft music. Very quaint, cozy atmosphere! service, Mimosas and food all excellent. Only downside, is they don't accept debit/credit cards. Just cash or checks!

I visited Casa De Benividez with my family on Mother's Day 2002. I have eaten there before and was very pleased with the food and the service. I was happy that I did not have to wait too long (15-20 minutes) to get a table, but that is where the happy part ended. We were seated outside and it too...

Very good New Mexican style Mexican food. This stuff is not to be confused with the Tex-Mex variety. I prefer the delicious red chile on my tamales or enchiladas. You should ask which is hotter the red or the green. The carne adovada (pork in red chile) is my pick.

The food is pretty good, but it isn't worth the price - very big on the atmosphere, but not what I'd call great food at a great value. For beans, rice and tortillas to have a gourmet price, there'd better be something else.

Somewhat long waits here but the service and atmosphere are excellent. I had been here as a kid, long ago and recently re-visited. They have, by far, the hottest salsa I have ever tasted! Eating outside on the patio by the small pond was also very interesting and added a great deal to the experie...

Charming little renovated house turned restaurant in downtown Albuquerque. It is a cozy and clean family style Mexican restaurant with made to order sopapillas and homemade flour tortillas. Being from the east coast I have never heard of or seen anyone making the tortillas from scratch. But my brea...
Delicious, fresh food. Lovely new building; always great service. Some of the best red chile ever. Delicious steak fingers. Huge portions. Over all - great New Mexican food. A favorite place of our's for breakfast or lunch!

Unusual dining experience in this out of the way spot. If you are a brave diner, you will be rewarded with interesting seafood dishes as well as traditional favorites. Try the different green salsa. Great fajitas too.

We ate there this evening and the waiter was good, the food arrived in a timely fashion. We thought the red salsa was on the bitter side but everyone liked the guacamole salsa. I ordered the goat tacos and boy, did they forget to add the flavor! The meat was tender but flavorless and the garnishes w...

Garduno's is the best mexican food in Albuquerque. If you want good food with fast service then this is the place. It is kid frendly and adult friendly at the same time.

The worst experience that I have had at any restaurant. My wife found a rock in her bean burrito. A very unsanitary restaurant. I would not reccomend to anyone. Management did not seem to care about the situation!

plastic forks with styrofoam plates at top dollar. food's acceptable - but jeez - tourist trap!
Little Anita's was a huge disappointment, and is hardly fine dining
