Is this what you consider decent dinning? Not even close!

OVER-hyped, OVER-priced and OVER-rated are approprate descriptions of Sabatino's. With great anticipation we took our seats and were promptly served gin & tonics that were flat and insipid. A mussels appetizer turned out to be a plate of cold, overcooked, previously frozen, mushy shellfish, with a sauce that any out-of-the-can, heat-and-eat marinara could have easily surpassed. Veal entrees were equally overcooked and uninspiring, with a florentine spinach that still had an out-of-the-can taste. Add to all this an expresso coffee that barely filled a third of a demitasse (why so stingy?), and service that, while polite, was almost absent-minded (how can a waitress forget forks and spoons?), it becomes obvious that Sabatino's won't be seeing the likes of me again! About the only things that don't deserve the OVER-tag were the chianti and Sambucca, probably because these items didn't have to pass through the Sabatino kitchen. If you savor food of this quality, stick to the heat-and-eat items from the supermarket freezers - they're a lot less expensive!
ever since this restaurant got a new chef and menu the food has been incredible. its sophisticated without being stuff. try the molten cake dessert. definitely a good date spot.
Ventured away front the Inner Harbor Core while attending a recent convention and were well rewarded with a lovely setting, wonderful food and superb service. An excellent experience to conclude our first visit to Baltimore.

I love to take people to this restaurant who are visiting Baltimore. I also love to go here myself and do not mind the drive from just outside of Washington, DC. The food is great...always. I have never had a bad meal at Sabatino's. Located in Little Italy it is easily accessable from the area attractions such as the Aquarium, Harborplace, etc. I recommend this restaurant for families, couples or anyone just looking for good "real" italian food.

Not sure why listed as "fast food". Sabatino's is a tablecloth restaurant. I wouldn't really call it fine dining - but it's a really nice place with a really comfortable atmostphere. They've been around forever and the food is consistently outstanding. Nothing fancy in the presentation, mind you, but real, honest (and delicious!) Italin food in large portions served by friendly staff. Have a Bookmaker Salad, a Shrimp Renato with a side of Penne with Veal Sauce and save room for dessert! Love their Tiramisu! I love this place!
