Our family went to Grille57 for the first night last friday and had one of the best dining experiences. All the food, especially the steaks were exceptional and cooked perfectly. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable on the menu and the extensive wine list. The owner was present and came over to check on us, which was terrific. I am so glad I found such a great restaurant in the city!! It will be our new dining choice.

I don't normally write negative reviews. Any restaurant can have an off night. But this was hands down one of the worst meals I have ever had. I had some early misgivings when we walked into an empty restaurant, just a half-block away from the always overflowing Sole Proprietor, Boynton, and Sahara. The ambiance was laughable, just a bunch of tv's. But as we had a restaurant.com gift certificate, we decided to give it a try. Absolutely everything we ordered was a disappointment. Fried mac & cheese was overcooked, and came to the table a crusty, unattractive dark brown color, obviously overdone. My shrimp avocado salad, supposedly served in an avocado shell, came drowned in a tasteless creamy dressing, apparently to hide the lack of avocado. Were they out of avocados? I should have been told. I'd have preferred to order something else. Our main courses, pasta and surf and turf, were bland, tough (steak), and undercooked (shrimp). Even the plain cheese pizza that we took home for the kids was burned and inedible. It went right into the trash. With a glass of wine and cola, the bill came to $80. A pricey dump. This place is unacceptable, especially on a street where you can get great food and ambiance just a few feet away.
This is Worcester's best kept secret. Large portions of great Italian dishes. Nice fresh Italian bread and Marinara for dipping. Lots of takeout orders and you get seated pretty quickly too, if you want. Nothing fancy but great food.
Unbelievable Italian Takeout. My mother, stepfather, and I all had the Veal Saltimbocca and we shared a Caprese appetizer. The quality of the food was excellent. It was ready to go upon my arrival. Better quality than North End Boston Italian food I'

Portobello has been in business for over ten years on a very busy street. When I first entered Portobello, I felt like I was walking into a restaurant in Italy. The restaurant is headed by a profesional chef. Go to Portobello you will love it we did.

My wife and I just got back from Italy, it was great. Italy reminded us of our favorite Italian restaurant we eat in often, Portobello on Shrewsbury street in Worcester. The decor and the high quality of food made us both feel like we were eating in
