This is a hole in the wall type place, but the food is excellent. Atmosphere is nothing much to look at but it is very friendly. They have a big selection (and more than just seafood.) I have been there numerous times and have never gotten anything that wasn't good. Besides great seafood, they have ...
We first ate at Fisherman's Cove in 2000 and have been back only one time. But! I have ordered from them at least two times a year for my annual Pardi Gras parties and our family boil. A Pardi isn't a party without their Crawfish! Have them ship it boiled, all you need to do is re-heat the Crawfis...
THE SEAFOOD WAS VERY GOOD AND SO WAS THE SERVICE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS GOOD FOOD AT A GREAT PRICE.
March 16-2008 We just got back from Fong's for our favorite "Hot and Sour Soup", "Fong's triple treat" and Mandarin Chicken. Of course with house fried rice- not the steamed rice. Sunday evening- the place is almost deserted as people have finished with the St. Patrick's day parade and are into t...

Not much for ambience, and the wait staff is incompetent. We were seated by the front door and actually saw our waiter open the front door and spit. It was disgusting to see something like that before dining.
Had just flown into NOLA and needed to sample some local flavor. I had the fried alligator and loved it. Not a kids place as the restaurant is surrounding a bar. Looks more like a locals place rather than a tourist stop, but was neat to sample some unique foods.

this place is good only for tourists coming of I-10 from a long trip. One of my worst experiences in NOLA area (I have been living in NOLA since 1995)
EXPECTED NEW ORLEANS style FOOD OR AT LEASE LOUISIANA style FOOD ,NOT NORTHEN.

I used to love to go to Smitty's but now they just don't have good food anymore. Last time I went the crab cakes were more like stuffing. There was no crab meat what so ever and the Poe Boy Shrimp Sandwich made my mom sick.
I grew up in Metairie and miss fong's maderine chicken........I've had many great foods in my life, but this, this is to die for. Trust me and eat some for me. IF YOU GO THROUGH LIFE WITHOUT HAVING TRIED THIS MANERINE CHICKEN, YOU DID NOT LIVE. B. Toups

They used to be good, but now they use frozen soft shell crabs and frozen shrimp! It was aweful. I complained and they didnt care. I gave them back my crab sandwich for a shrimp sandwich and they did not want to credit me the difference. Nor did they offer anything to pay for my inconvenience of hav...
